Urf Ghanta Review – Released in the year 2021

An amalgamation of comedy and social message, Urf Ghanta is an unsung gem of Indian cinema. Director Arunabh Kumar blends the film, showcasing the struggles of middle-class men carrying society pressure but still finding ways to love life in a comedy satire.

The content of the film revolves around Naveen Kasturia, who is a well-respected Indian actor. The movie pictures how his life takes funny, yet unexpected turns.

It’s a story of a common man, who has unfilled dreams and then society looking at him and what’s going on in his life.

The story is filled with a host of funny moments and a sound level of acting. Abhishek Chauhan and Aakanksha Thakur have worked like a unit, giving roles a realistic outlook.

It’s a story where a man has all his dreams unfulfilled, and suddenly a doctor’s visit, on his friend’s suggestion, puts him in shock.

Other than great actors, the writing of the film makes it a cut above the rest. The dialogues are written in a manner that the humour seems very realistic, something many North Indians can relate to.

Kumar Varun and Badri Chavan have added a massive touch during comedy moments as supporting cast members. It’s not like an out-and-out movie, which is pushing for comedy, but adding it in frustrating moments. And the great comedy timing makes it too good.

Arunabh Kumar, who is well-known for his TFV projects, brings the classical ‘TFV’ touch to movies. This makes it an overall package that viewers like to see on OTT.

Vaibhav Bundhoo’s cinematography is something to talk about, adding best-in-class realism. Just like most The Viral Fever (TVF) projects, the soundtrack of the movie relates to the core.

The background score, in key moments, adds well to the storyline during different circumstances.

Despite being a 2021 movie, Urf Ghanta is indeed an unsung gem to look at the best-in-class Indian cinema. Just like the name, the movie has so many twists and turns that makes the perfect mix of struggle with the funny nature of the Indian middle-class.

The film is available on Amazon Prime Video, a must-watch for realistic movie lovers.
